I’m Not Perfect
I’m not Perfect, no one is perfect, and Christians are no exception. But if you were looking at a list of near perfect Christians, my name would not on be found on that list….. I wanted you to know and I wanted to be the one to tell you. You see when I started this blog I felt the Lord leading me, but I told the Lord that I was going to try it my way. That wasn’t the right answer, but I am certain it came as no surprise to the Lord. After all, He’s known me longer than my whole life, He knew me before he formed me (Jeremiah 1:5).
And so, after wandering around in the blogging world for a few months, I have come to a place where I feel I know the direction that God wants me to go. And I am now ready to follow.
That’s going to mean some soul-baring on my part. Soul-baring is going to be hard for someone as introverted (and proud) as me. I could have been perfectly happy without ever letting you see, anything close to, the real me. But that’s not blogging, that’s creating an image.
Now post by post I’m going to start telling you some of my life’s story. But before you decide whether or not you want to get on board and go along for the ride I wanted you to know… That I’m not perfect.
So if you’re looking for perfection, you’ll want to stand back and let this blog roll right on by. You will want to NOT subscribe to my email list, or you will want to unsubscribe if you’ve already opted in.
Instead of perfection, you’re looking for someone who… has missed the mark almost more times than they aimed and fired… Or someone who has learned almost more from getting it wrong than from getting it right. Then this may be the blog for you.
You see while I’ll never be the poster child for perfection, I could be in the running to be the poster child of people who are learning to walk in God’s grace, through faith. (Ephesians 2:8)
I may never be a good example of getting it right the first time But I have definitely learned a thing or two about making the most of second chances.
And before we go any farther down THIS road….. I just wanted you to know.
